Description: NA The purpose of this project is to prevent future damage to the existing Arkansas-White Rivers soil cement structure in the vicinity of Jim Smith Lake by constructing a series of embankments of varying dimensions at two locations within the project area. This project will require stripping 6 inches of material from the existing surface. It will also require clearing and grubbing, excavation and grading, transporting borrow material, placing and compacting borrow material for construction of geotube embank ments, filling geotubes and establishing turf. Also, a bioengineering technique, live fascines, shall be formed and placed on the embankments. Erosion control fabric shall also be placed on the embankment slopes. Magnitude of work is $1 to $5 Million.
