- This is a modification/update to the synopsis for the Space Mission Communications and Data Services (SMCDS, RFP-03-HAW-001) solicitation that was posted on March 7, 2003. You are notified that the following changes are made: The George C. Marshall Space Flight Center will be conducting an additional site visit/tour in connection with the Unified NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS) work package of the Space Mission Communications and Data Services acquisition conducted by NASA Headquarters. The initial UNITeS Industry Briefing/site visit occurred on March 13, 2003. Information regarding this event is provided on the UNITeS website at www.unites.nasa.gov. The facilities toured at this event consisted of the following: Building 4200 (VoTS, ViTS, Graphics, Central Reproduction); Building 4207 (TV studio, NISC/ENMC, Gateway, INL Lab, Phone switch); Building 4353 (Photo lab); Building 4663 (NACC, Midrange); Building 4629 (IMCC); and the East Test Area. The purpose of the additional site visit, to be conducted on April 25, 2003, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, Morris Auditorium, Building 4200, George C. Marshall Space Flight Center, is to provide parties interested in competing on the UNITeS competition, particularly those (but not limited to) parties unable to participate in the initial site visit, an opportunity to view the previously viewed MSFC UNITeS facilities. No facilities other than those previously viewed will be toured nor will additional information to that previously provided, and currently available on the UNITeS website, be available. In addition, no briefing will occur. Based on the current "blackout" period, tour guides will not be able to answer questions during these tours. Parties interested in participating in the additional tour should provide the following information for each participant via e-mail: (1) Name (First, MI, Last); (2) Company name; (3) Company Address; (4) Organization point of contact; (5) POC phone number; (6) US citizenship status; (7) Dual citizenship status; (8) Foreign-owned company status. This information should be provided to the UNITeS Contracting Officer, Mr. Jeffrey S. Jackson, no later than COB April 18, 2003, email Jeffrey.S.Jackson@nasa.gov, telephone (256) 544-8935. Each firm shall be limited to no more than two attendees. The due date for responses is not extended. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
