Description

The Department of Justice/JMD/Finance Staff has a requirement for the assistance of a contractor to provide technical support services to recommend/perform an approach to the design, development, testing and implementation of various financial applications on PC, LAN, and Mainframe platforms interfacing to the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) in the Teradata environment. A major part of the work to be performed consists of maintenance, user support, redesign and enhancement of the Debt Collection Module. The estimated level of effort is one (1) staff person. It is critical to the Department's efforts to comply with the mandates imposed by the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 and it's self imposed Five-year Plan, to retain the services of a contractor with detailed knowledge of the FMIS, the processes supported by the Debt Collection Management Module, the actual code comprising the modules, the multitude of modules supporting the payment, accounting and management reporting activities which comprise the services provided to the other organizations by the Finance Staff. The period of performance will be for one base year with four (4) one-year options. The solicitation document will be available about January 10, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Electronic Posting System (EPS) FedBizOpps web site www.FedBizOpps.gov (hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available). The EPS site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through the EPS site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the EPS site to assure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Work will be performed at a Government site in Washington, DC, and the person performing the work must live within commuting distance of the Government site.
