Description
NA SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION - This is a combined synopsis/solicitation to acquire on a Sole Source basis with MTS Systems Corporation, 14000 Technology Drive, Eden Prairie, MN 55344-2290 a Flex Test GT Digital Controller. This controller is required due to th e interoperability with existing MTS laboratory resources (RCPIII software and MTS hydraulic actuators.). The PST Laboratory operates tests using MTS RPCIII software which can be installed and operated on the Flex Test GT controller PC. This synopsis/solic itation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR part 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotations are being requested and postings will be on the TACOM website 18 Apr 2003. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, MI, has a requirement DAAE07-03-R-L511 for a Flex-Test GT Digital Controller. The equipment is as follows: MTS Flex Test GT D igital Controller to complete the Ground Vehicle Simulation Laboratory?s 8x8 MTS Simulator. FOB Destination will apply (FAR 52.247-34). Quotations and/or questions must be submitted electronically to: zielinsj@tacom.army.mil. No options will be included. T he solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13, dated 18 Mar 03. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Comm ercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items (Offerors must include a complete copy with offer); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Cont ract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable To Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (May 2002). The associated North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) code is 334519. Offers are due no later than 16 May 2003, Noon, (Eastern). Note: All contractors must be registered in the Central Contract Registry (CCR) prior to receiving an award; see web-site www.ccr.gov for details on CCR.
