Description
NA 1. The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) has a need to develop and maintain chemical information systems and a chemical repository for its drug discovery and development mission. The principal objectives of the project are the rec eipt, storage, inventory, distribution, documentation, disposal, and control of synthetic compounds, natural products, bulk drugs and formulated drugs. The objectives are to be accomplished by means of: a. Developing and maintaining manual, digital, and imaged chemical information and inventory systems. The contractor shall support the development and maintenance of digital imaging systems for the storage and retrieval of chemical sample data sheets, INDs, clinical protocols, and other documentation of the USAMRMC?s missions. The contractor shall support the development and maintenance of digital systems for the storage, searching, and reporting of chemical structure, inventory, and biology date. The contractor shall be flexible enough to respond to changing priorities and technologies in computer hardwar e and software. b. Providing the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, equipment, materials and services to operate a chemical inventory laboratory for the receipt, storage and maintenance of approximately 350,000 chemical samples including facilities for the prepar ation and shipment of approximately 6,000 chemical samples annually. The workload will include accessioning 5-6,000 new chemical compounds annually. c. Providing controlled inventory storage of preclinical and clinical lots of samples and of radiolabeled (14C and 3H) chemicals in compliance with all local, state, and Federal Government regulations. 2. Additional Information regarding this Solicitation: a. The Contract Type will be Cost Plus Fixed Fee for One (1) Base Year and Four (4) One (1) Year Options. b. The North American Industry Classification Standard is 541710. The Size Standard is 500. c. Telephonic requests regarding this Solicitation will not be honored. d.
