- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command plans to issue orders under basic ordering agreement N00019-00-G-0154 with Rolls-Royce Corporation, Indianapolis, IN 46241 for integrated logistics support and sustaining engineering tasks to be performed in 2003 to support the T56-A-427 engines that power the E-2 fleets of the U. S. Navy and Foreign Military Sales customers, France and Taiwan. The required support includes systems engineering; configuration management; data collection, management, analysis and modeling; manufacturing support; field services; and risk reduction and safety program support. Rolls-Royce Corporation is the designer, developer and manufacturer of the T56-A-427 and is, therefore, the only source that possesses the indepth technical knowledge and technical data necessary to provide these services within the time required to meet USN requirements.
