Description

The U. S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a firm fixed price one-year contract on a sole source basis to Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) for a user-friendly, web-based data management system designed to retrieve information from a wide variety of financial and economic data sources. WRDS shall function as an application service provider (ASP) to deliver information drawn from comprehensive financial, accounting, management, marketing, banking and insurance data. The user shall be able to research one firm or several hundred firms simultaneously. All the databases shall have a common interface and a consistent data format. The data management system shall provide ready access to data services including CRSP/Compustat merged data that provides historical financial, price and return data; NYSE trade and quote data; and I/B/E/S consensus and detailed earnings forecast data files.
