Description

This acquisition will be restricted to companies within Portugal or its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies and management to provide insurance coverage required by Portuguese law. Total liability for job related injuries and accidents will be transferred from the United States Government to the contractor for all Portuguese civilian employees of the United States employed at Lajes Field, Terceira, Azores. Contractor shall also provide 24-hour coverage for employees traveling to the United States on temporary duty (TDY) for injuries, accidents and unexpected illness. The request for Proposal (RFP) package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov/ on or about 30 May 03. All proposals and other documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be submitted in paper medium. T-615, Lajes Field, Azores Portugal 09720-7775, or e-mail to: gina.walker@lajes.af.mil. Award of this project is subject to availability of funds. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted.
