- The U S Naval Academy (USNA) is seeking sources for the following services: SERVICES DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF PUBLIC DISPLAYS. The nature of the USNA as an educational institution and as a historic site generates a need for display rooms and presentation spaces. We have many historic artifacts; both publicly and privately owned (on loan) which are displayed to the public. We also have many institutional accomplishments, trophies, awards, scholastic and faculty recognition that are displayed for the public throughout the USNA. Therefore, the USNA has a recurring need for display services including but not limited to, design for presentation of spaces and furnishings in public areas such as: ? Public and privately owned artifacts (Preble Hall Museum); ? Naval Academy history and tradition (memorial Hall, John Paul Jones Crypt); ? Academic Accomplishments (Nimitz Library, Michelson/Chauvenet Lobbies); ? Individual professional achievements (Anders Hall of Fame); and ? Individual and institutional athletic achievement (Robert Crown Sailing Center, Halsey Field House trophy rooms, McDonough Hall) Display of such items and spaces necessarily involves the immediate display structure and cabinetry, as well as room layout, surface finishes, order of displays, text displays associated with individual items, and the overall associated script or storyboard of the space. The USNA requires services for both design and execution of these spaces and displays. PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF INFORMATIONAL OR COMMEMORATIVE PLAQUES The USNA has a recurring requirement for production and installation of informational signs and commemorative plaques. Throughout the Naval Academy many historic events, achievements, or contributions by individuals and organizations are recognized through displays, commemorative plaques, descriptive signage, or naming of facilities. This necessitates a requirement to create and install various forms of plaques, signs, and descriptive displays. The USNA requires services to design, create, and install various forms of signage and plaques, which includes, but is not limited to glass, plastic, Lucite, stone, metal, cast and/or engraved, these services will range from a simple notation plate to a series of displays.
