Description
NA Add/Alter Operations and Training (Building #1) at the 109th Airlift Wing, 1 ANG Road, Scotia, NY 12302. The Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, and supervision required to construct a 3000 SF addition and repair 17,000 SF of an exist ing building at the 109 Airlift Wing, Stratton Air National Guard Base, Schenectady County Airport, New York in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The addition will house planning and training sections of the Wing. The repair will incl ude the construction and demolition of interior walls, electrical modifications, HVAC system renovation, fire alarm renovation, and equipment replacement. The addition portion of the project will include excavation and backfilling of building foundations, relocation of existing underground utilities, reinforced concrete foundations and slab on grade, masonry building construction, structural steel, interior and exterior finishes, the installation of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems. The project will be include phases to limit the disturbance to existing function. The addition project will be phase one. The financial areas cannot be disturbed during the month of September. The Military Personnel Flight cannot be disturbed until July 2003. The performance schedule and all other elements of construction shall be closely coordinated with the Base Civil Engineer. The anticipated construction period is 270 calendar days after acknowledgement of Notice to Proceed. The issue date for the solicit ation is scheduled for on or around 9 May 2003 with bids due on or around 17 June 2003. On organized site visit is scheduled for 27 May 2003 at 10:00 A.M. local time at bulding #25. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. This project is being set aside for competition among 8(a) firms located within the Buffalo and S yracuse NY SBA servicing districts. The NAICS code applicable to this solicitation is 236220. The small business size standard is $28,500,000. The estimated dollar magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The specification book and drawings for this project will be issued via CD-ROM, paper copies will not be available.
