- Description
- The purpose of this solicitation is to contract an exclusive use aircraft and pilot for use by the Forest Service and cooperator to conduct annual aerial insect and disease detection survey flights. Aircraft shall be twin engine, all metal, unpressurized, and having minimum seating for 1 pilot and 3 passengers. Aircraft used must be capable of developing 240 horsepower per engine. Aircraft developing 200 horsepower per engine or more may be approved, provided they are turbo/supercharged, unless the horsepower requirement has been waived by the Forest Service. The aircraft shall have highwing, untinted windows with unobstructed forward visibility of 600 square inches and lateral visibility of 1200 square inches.
