Description

This is a combined synopsis /solicitation for commercial items or services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR Part 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number 370018 is issued on a sole source basis to Ascential Software. The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 7379 and the North American Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541512. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) intends to issue a purchase order for the following: (1) Integrity upgrade to production Environment conversion of previously purchased 8 CPU development licenses to production (results in 16 CPU’s in production) upgrade from 16 to 20 CPU’s) and Maintenance, (2) Parallel extender upgrade to 20 CPU’s and Maintenance, (3) Unlimited usage of Parallel Extender and Integrity in a Development Environment and Maintenance, and (4) Cold Back-up Environment-20 CPU’s of Integrity, 20 CPU’s of Parallel Extender, Cass Runtime/Batch (data set not included) and Maintenance. The following FAR Clauses shall apply to this solicitation 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions Electronic Funds Transfer, and 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes for Executive Orders-Commercial Items. All responsible sources that can provide and meet the above requirements shall submit written quotations by the due date referenced above. The award is being issued on a sole source basis because the Development Batch is proprietary to the contractor with no resellers.
