Description

Columbus AFB, MS intends to procure a Basewide Paving IDIQ contract, Project EEPZ 03-2003. The work shall include providing all labor, equipment, plant, tools, transportation, and materials to perform various types of site work located at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi and the Auxiliary Airfield at Shuqualak, Mississippi. The site work shall include, but is not limited to: repair and construction of asphalt and concrete pavements including sub-base and base course, installation of associated utilities, sidewalks, curb and gutters, rubber removal and painting of runways, taxiways, aprons and turf. The work will be issued in incremental task orders throughout the year as money becomes available. The general outline of work provided in the task orders does not, in any way, limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work specified in the contract documents. Required quantities and performance period for each task order will be negotiated separately for each task order. The government anticipates awarding a 12-month basic year, and 3 (three) one-year options for a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity type contract. The anticipated maximum amount of the proposed contract is $40,000,000 over the life of the contract. The guaranteed minimum is $150,000 for the life of the contract. The NAICS Code is 237310 and size standard is $28.5 million. The solicitation package will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be posted solely on the Electronic Posting System (EPS)/FedBizOpps at http://www.eps.gov). The solicitation will be posted on or about 15 May 03 with a closing date of 16 June 03. The solicitation will be issued as Hub-Zone competitive using Best Value Source Selection. Interested parties may subscribe to receive procurement announcements related to this solicitation by registering in the Vendor Notification Services at the FedBizOpps website. VENDORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov PRIOR TO AWARD OF A GOVERNMENT CONTRACT.
