- NA The U.S. Army has a requirement for Surface-Launched Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (SLAMRAAM) System Development and Demonstration (SDD) with options for production, engineering/technical services, contractor logistics support (CLS), fielding su pport, spares. The SLAMRAAM system includes a fire unit using a High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV)/Army common carrier; the U.S. Air Force AIM-120 AMRAAM missile; global positioning system (GPS) receiver; land navigation system; Enhanced P osition Location Reporting System (EPLRS)/Single Channel Ground/Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) radios; Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2); Sentinel Enhanced Target Range and Classification (ETRAC) and Joint Land Attack Cruise Missile Defe nse Elevated Netted Sensor (JLENS) sensors; and an integrated fire control station (IFCS). The IFC capability will be developed using maturing Battlefield Management Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (BMC4I) technologies; will in tegrate sensor data, engagement operations, and force operations; and is to be the initial fielded capability for the Air and Missile Defense Tactical Operations Center (TOC).-- Basic contract will be awarded in 1Q04 for an FY04-07 SDD effort and will include FY04-08 options for manufacture of system fire unit and IFCS hardware, spares, engineering services, fielding support, training, and training equipment, and FY07-08 options f or CLS.-- Any interested party may request a copy of the solicitation. However the Government will accept proposals only from those U.S. companies that have qualified as having the highest probability of designing and producing the SLAMRAAM system based on the Gove rnment?s evaluation of industry responses to the Army?s Request for Information (FedBizOpps, 17 Apr 03).
