Description
The government intends to issue a solicitation for two Nsn?s of webbing, textile. The solicitation will be issued as a total small business set-aside. Item 0001: 8,634,487 yards NSN: 8305-00-268-2411 webbing, cotton, type I, plain weave, ? inch width, natural, and Item 0002: 321,943 yards NSN: 8305-00-264-2088 webbing, textile, type I, ? inch width, camouflage green 483. CG-483 replaces OD-7 and the standard sample for OD?7 is referenced for shade only and identified as roll no. 282 (MIL-W-530). Both items are to be delivered FOB Destination, over a twelve-month period, commencing 135 days after the date of award. Destination is Defense Distribution Depot Albany Transportation Officer, 814 Radford Blvd., 1221 Bay 5, Albany, GA., 31704-1128. Note: Inspection and Acceptance will be at Origin. Previous history: Item 0001: December 1999 to Sullivan Carson Inc., for a quantity of 10,116,892 yards, at $.03 per yard award, Item 0002: May 1995 to Sullivan Carson Inc. quantity was for 1,850,000 yards at $.06 per yard. There is one 100% option included. Best value source selection procedures will be utilized to select the successful offeror(s), with past performance as the evaluation factor. Gateway posting of the RFP will be in May 2003. Specification can be downloaded through http://www.dsp.dla.mil/. Numbered notes 1, 9, and 26 apply. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(a) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (12 May 03). From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs' from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure E-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. Important note on foreign content: The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DOD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, clothing and textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
