- Description
- This is a sources sought synopsis for a potential 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. If adequate responses are not received from HUBZone business concerns, the acquisition may be solicited on an unrestricted basis. Responses must be in writing; facsimile or e-mail responses are acceptable. E-mail to charles.phillips@la.usda.gov. Facsimile number is 318-473-7831. All interested small business HUBZone concerns must express their interest in this project not later than May 9, 2003. As a minimum the following information is required: (1) copy of the certificate issued by the SBA showing qualification as a HUBZone concern, (2) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer as a prime contractor on this project, (3) evidence of expertise in this type of work including contract numbers, project titles, dollar values and contact points including their phone numbers, (4) evidence of bonding capabilities for bid, performance and payment bonds. The work under this project is for repairing approximately 615 linear feet of channel slopes on Mile Branch in Covington, LA. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all equipment, labor, materials and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work. Major items of work are steel sheet piling, excavation, earthfill, rockfill, rock riprap, pvc pipe and risers and geotextile. The estimated cost for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification System for this acquisition is 237990. The small business size is $28.5 million. The performance time is 56 calendar days.
