Description

NA This requirement is sole source to DriverTech Inc., 2212 S. West Temple #48, Salt Lake City, UT 84115. The PM has been directed by Department of the Army (DA) to develop an Army-wide solution for emplacing embedded diagnostics on all surface Army Systems. The PM's solution consists of a unit to be mounted on the host platform that performs similar functions and will use similar software. The use of DriverTech's DT-3000 reduces the cost and risk to the government as it was developed and interfaced to the F amily of Medium-Sized Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), the subject vehicle of the proof of principle for testing our software. In addition, market research performed in May 2002 revealed that the DT-3000 is diagnostics orientated and the general hardware of the system is most similar to the hardware requirements for the PM's solution specification. As a result of the market research, we feel that DriverTech is the only company that can satisfy agency requirements at this time.
