Description

NA Reference to FedBizOpps Notice dated April 15, 2003. The restriction to ISO 9001 and 9002 Contractors holding a current certificate of compliance or approval from a Quality Evaluation Company is removed and replaced with the requirement to provide a Quali ty Control Plan with the Bid Documents. See the Solicitation Package for details. Maintenance to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dredge FRY. 1. The Contractor shall furnish docking and dry-dock facilities, plant, labor, material, and equipment to perform work as follows: Blast and paint portions of vessel?s exterior, forward and aft interior voids. Perform large amounts of welding by, removi ng and replacing corroded metal throughout the vessel, removing and replacing corroded piping, removing and replacing forward deck hatches, with Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Perform mechanical work by replacing vessel?s propellers and propeller s hafts, repair fuel valves, and rebuild pumps. Perform electrical work as required, renewing running lights and panel. The Sidecasting Dredge Fry has the following Characteristics and Specifications: Gross Tonnage 202 tons; Displacement 354 long tons; Length, Overall 104 ft - 2 in; Beam, Molded 30 ft - 0 in; Breath, with drags 40 ft - 10 in; Depth, Molded 7 ft - 9 in; Draft 4 ft - 8 in; Draft, Loaded 5 ft - 11 in; Draghead & Hoppers 2 Brunswick Adjustable; Drags 10 in Dia.; and Discharge Pipe 12 in, 80 ft in length. Contract will be in a Construction Format and exempt from the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, pursuant to EP 1180-1-1 Shipbuilding, Alteration, and Repair. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. 2. AVAILIBILITY AND CHARGE: THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE: ISSUED ON / OR-ABOUT MAY 1, 2003; ON A CD-ROM DISK; WILL BE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE; AND SHOULD NOT BE RETURNED. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper hard copy form. Amendments will be made through either a 3.5? Diskette, CD-ROM Disk, or by a printed-paper hard copy. The CD-ROM Disk contains a simple window viewing application and two (2) commercial software applications. All applications contained on the CD- ROM Disk can be run from the CD-ROM Disk. No installation is required. The recommended minimum hardware requirements are (1) 486/66 personal computer; (2) 8 or 16 M RAM; (3) CD-ROM drive; and (4) a Windows driven printer. The recommended minimum softwa re requirement is Microsoft Windows 3.1, Windows95, or Windows NT.
