Description

DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. The Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, intends to award a firm-fixed price construction c ontract for repairs on four radial gates at the Mill Creek Intake Canal Headworks. The repair includes but is not limited to touchup painting, installing new bumpers on the four gates, concrete cutting at wear points for the gates, and drilling drains in the gates? structural members. There are optional items. These items will be done if funding is available. This work will be on the Division work sites A and B. Both sites have existing needle gates for water flow control. The needle gates are railroa d ties, and are to be removed and replaced with new bulkheads, slide gates, and access platforms with handrails. Both of the optional slide gate sites are approximately 30 feet wide. Both sites are water division point for the Mill Creek River. The esti mated completion date for this work is 15 September 2003. ADMINISTRATION INFO: The estimated cost range for this job is between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990. The small business size sta ndard is average annual receipts for the previous three fiscal years must not exceed $28,500,000. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns.
