Reference solicitation #MDA906-03-R-0002, Amendment 0002 to the TRICARE Retail Pharmacy (TRRx) solicitation is issued and may be downloaded at: http://www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations/retail. This amendment provides administrative changes to the RFP including clarification of the requirements relating to the processing of paper claims and language relating to prescriptions processed versus claims processed. The amendment also updates the estimated quantities in Sections B and L to reflect current estimates. These changes are a result of questions provided by industry in response to the RFP, and questions asked during the pre-proposal conference held on April 2-3, 2003. The TRRx contractor will provide pharmacy benefit management services supporting the delivery of the TRRx comprehensive retail pharmacy services benefits to approximately 8.7 million TRICARE and Continued Health Care Benefit Program beneficiaries living in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands. This contract is one of three venues through which pharmacy services are provided, including direct care facilities, and the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy. As a result of this amendment, the closing date and time for proposal submission is extended to 1300 MDT, May 27, 2003. ? Questions regarding the amendment must be submitted using the ?E-Mail Questions to the Contracting Officer? option on the TRICARE website, and will be accepted until close of business, May 6, 2003. Interested parties who have not previously registered may do so at the TRRx Solicitation web site above.
