Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Sutron Corp., of Sterling, Virginia to provide the following: To incorporate support for storm surge detection, recording, and notification into the Xpert-based tide stations, 1 job. Delivery will be 30 days from date of award. Delivery to be F.O. B. Destination to the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA NOS, FOD, 808 Principal Court, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320. Authority: 41 USC 253(c)(1). The FSC for this is D399 and the NAICS Code is 541519, small business size standard is $21.0 million. Sutron Corp. is the only know source capable of providing the required service. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302(c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide the required system. Copies of the solicitation will only be posted on FEDBIZOPPS. Telephone requests will not be honored.
