Description

This is a presolicitation notice to reconstruct a degassing system at the Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery, Vernal, Utah. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to modify the water control structures according to the plans and specifications provided by US Fish and Wildlife. The work will include soil excavation and backfilling, saw-cutting five holes in the concrete wall of water control structures, fabricating four stainless steel water flow control "boxes" from ?" stainless steel plate, attaching the stainless steel plate to the concrete walls of the control structures, installing two new vertical propeller or turbine pumps in one control structure to another, installing new discharge piping from 10 pumps to the packed columns in 5 control structures, replacing the motors on four pumps, installing variable speed drives for 10 pumps, and pulling new wire from the main breaker panel to the variable speed drives and from the drives to the motors on three pairs of pumps. Performance period is 45 days from Notice to Proceed. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 26, 2003, with a closing date of on or about June 26, 2003. The solicitation will be available through the Governmentwide Point of Entry (GPE) (http://www.fedbizopps.gov). Parties that are unable to access the GPE shall fax a request for the solicitation to 303-236-4791, Attention: Michael Bachofen.
