Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) plans to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis to Amerex Industries, Inc., Kennesaw, GA, under the authority of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The object of this requirement is to provide maintenance for a custom designed Large Fire Laboratory Flue Gas Cleaning System. Amerex Industries, Inc. is the only uniquely qualified source for this service as they are the manufacturer and they hold the proprietary rights to the software and hardware. Period of performance is one (1) year from date of award with three (3) one-year options. Service will be performed on-site. The anticipated award date of this order is on or about ten (10) days from the date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. Interested persons may identify their intent and capability to respond to this requirement no later than the response date above. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. For information, call the POC identified below.
