- Description
- This is an intent to sole source to Fluent, Inc., 10 Cavendish Court, Lebanon, New Hampshire. See Note 22. The requirements for this award include two active software license fees and four panel-only process. The award will be made for one base year and four option years. The software and license manager will reside on a Dell intel Processor. It must operate on a Windows 2000 operating system (version W2000 PRO 1-2 CPU). License primary server hostname and host id will by PC5997, 00065BBD9AFA. Processes may be run on a single computer or on a network of computers. Software will run two active processes. Company will provide materials for use in connection with the computer program as well as assistance with the installation of programs and corresponding license files. Active processes may be run on a single computer or a network of computers at the USDA Forest Service, 5775 West Highway 10, Rocky Mountain Research Station, Fire Behavior Lab, Missoula, Montana. Parallel-only process can be used in conjunction with the active process as a compute node when executing parallel versions of software (i.e. parallel processes are launched from "within" one of the active processes). Standard services will include software updates and maintenance versions during the software license period and unlimited usage support. This includes consultation in the planning and execution of CFD projects. To receive usage support, individual users must have completed an introductory training course for the software. If support cannot be provided remotely, the company must have a support engineer travel to the client site to resolve the support request (additional fees may apply). Training fees will be valid three months from the purchase date. Introductory and advanced training sessions may be attended and custom and on-site sessions may be arranged upon request. Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all propsals received within 45 days (30 days if issued under a Basic Ordering Agreement) after date of publication of synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is soley within the discreation of the Government. Information received will normally be considered soley for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
