Description

Under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the U.S. Census Bureau (USCB) intends to award a sole source contract to Ms. Jeanie Presto for services in the preparation of business cases studies for areas of field personnel system operations where problems have been or are being experienced in the management and conduct of the decennial censuses. Other services include evaluating various software packages for the administrative field application base using program analysis techniques and conducting functional testing on the CAPPS system The USCB has an urgent need for Ms. Presto's extensive and in-depth knowledge of Census requirements in the areas of case studies, and field systems operations. Her association with the Census Bureau in the required areas of expertise will ensure the success of the proposed contract. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that they are capable of performing this work. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, and other information that demonstrates their ability to meet the Census Bureau's needs. Detailed capabilities must be submitted to the U.S. Census Bureau, Acquisition Division, 4700 Silver Hill Road, Room #G-314 (Mail Stop 1700), ATTN: William Russell, Suitland, Maryland 20746. This synopsis is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No solicitation document is available. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice, but offers will be used to determine if a comparable source is available. If no affirmative written response is received within 15 days from the publication of this synopsis, a contract may be issued to Ms. Presto without further notice.
