- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued; proposal s are being requested and no further written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for quotation is DAHA30-03-T-0015, a request for clearing and grubbing a 3 mile semi-wooded area. This request closes on 12 May 2003, 12: 00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 01-12. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business with an assigned NAICS Code of 561730. A map of the area is av ailable. Offerors need to provide a fixed rate. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and will remain in full force in any resultant award. The full text of clauses may be accessed electronically at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. All prosp ective offerors must, if not already, register with CCR (Central Contractor Registry) at http://www.ccr.gov. As a minimum, offerors must show (1) the Solicitation Number; (2) The time specified in the solicitation for receipt of offers; (3) The name, addr ess, and telephone number of the offeror; (4) Price and discount terms (5) Remit to address, if different than mailing address. This solicitation is subject to the Service Contract Act and all wages shall be paid accordingly. The current wage rate to be followed is 94-2384 rev. 13 dated 5/2/02. DFARS 252.204-7000 Disclosure of Information; Comm ercial Items, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding which, if any, of the additional FAR clauses cited in the clause are applicable to the acquisition. The Government intends to award a single contract resulting from this solicitation. Of ferors who are not registered in the CCR are ineligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Submission of quotations can be mailed to Attn: Kristianna Haase, Contracting Specialist, 174th FW /LGC, 6001 E Molloy Rd, Syracuse, NY 13211 or fax to Kristianna Haase at (315) 454-6134, on or before 12 May 2003, 12:00 p.m. EST. SCOPE OF WORK: A. The primary goal of this project is to clear land area between the existing aircraft parking area pavement and the 174 FW north boundary fence-line of all standing vegetation, in preparation for installation of a ground intrusion detection system. Unle ss otherwise noted, all labor, equipment and material required is to be supplied by the contractor. Work includes: 1. Clear and grub land area as shown on the attached map and as marked by surveyor stakes at the job location. Land area to be cleared will be 285 meters in length by 50 meters in width (approx. 3 acres of land). Also demo and remove a 725? long, 7? high /tall chain link fence located in the West section. 2. Chip and either grind-stump, all spoils, vegetation and distribute uniformly on t he site. Larger trees that cannot be shredded and the existing fence need to be hauled to a suitable location off the installation. Cost of transport and all disposal fees are to be paid by the contractor. 3. Level cleared land to follow the existing drainage contours. Grade to eliminate depressions to less than 12? elevation change within any 100 Square Foot section (10? x 10?). Clear drainage swales of vegetation to a maximum height of 6? above grade. B. Work coordination and phasing: Due to the security requirements necessary for the 174th?s flying mission, all workers have to be cleared through the 174 FW Security Forces office. In addition, contractor personnel will have a government escort with th em at all times at the work site. Work hours will be limited to Monday to Friday, 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. C. Additional Refer to the attached map for project location and perimeter of land area to be cleared and grubbed. Site visit scheduled for 1000 hrs on 07 May. Bids due by 0900 hrs on 12 May. All work at East end to be completed by May 16th. All work at West end to be completed by May 23rd.
