Description

The work consists of constructing approximately 2040 linear feet of earthen dike across a shallow bay on Lake Audubon. Also included will be approximately 225 linear feet of earth foundation construction, approximately 225 linear feet of rock dike construction, approximately 200 linear feet of riprap windrow construction, and approximately 2 acres of seeding. Estimated construction quantities include 9100 sy of filter fabric, 18,275 cy of compacted-in-place embankment, 3500 cy of riprap and 310 cy of topsoil replacement. The work is situated near Coleharbor in McLean County, North Dakota. Required delivery is 213 days from receipt of notice to proceed. The estimated price range of the work is between $250,000 and $500,000. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available on June 6, 2003. Requests for solicitation packages should be received by June 20, 2003. Bid opening is tentitively scheduled for July 8, 2003, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway Avenue, Bismarck, North Dakota, 58502. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After the issuance the solicitation may be viewed, without chaarge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Dakotas Area Office, 304 East Broadway Avenue, Bismarck, North Dakota or the Great Plains Regional Office, 316 N. 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
