Description
Sources Sought Synopsis: The Bureau of Reclamation requires repair of the Clear Creek Power Conduit Pressure Tunnel, located approximately 40 miles northwest of Redding, California in Shasta County. The NAICS code is 237990. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.1305 (b) set-aside procedures, the Contracting Officer is issuing this Sources Sought Synopsis to determine if there is a reasonable expectation that offers for this construction service will be received from two or more HUBZone small business concerns, and the award of a contract for such construction can be made at a fair market price. Should there be insufficient response to this Sources Sought Synopsis by May 9, 2003 a solicitation will be issued based on a price evaluation preference for HUBZone small business concerns in accordance with FAR 19.1307. The following work is required by this solicitation: 1) remove existing damaged concrete tunnel lining; 2) replace the damage concrete tunnel lining with new concrete lining; 3) clean existing weep holes; 4) oversize existing weep holes; 5) drill and install new weep holes; and 6) backfill grouting voids in a gravel drain. The magnitude of this proposed project is between $100,000 to $250,000. Any HUBZone certified contractor as defined by the Small Business Administration and FAR Clause 52.219-3(a) is invited to telephone, fax or e-mail Mr. Cedrick Williams at 916-978-51469(ph), 916-978-5182(fax) cwilliams@mp.usbr.gov (e-mail). When contacting Mr. Williams, the HUBZone certified contractor should be prepared to offer evidence of its ability to perform the work described in this notice at a competitive market price.
