PART: U.S. GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENTS SUBPART: SUPPLIES, EQUIPMENT AND MATERIAL CLASSCOD: 69--Training Aids and Devices--Potential Sources Sought OFFADD: Commander, Marine Corps System Command, PMTRASYS, 12350 Research Parkway, Orlando VA 32826 SUBJECT: 69?USMC TACTICAL WARRIOR (TACWAR) DEPLOYABLE TARGETING SYSTEM FOR INFANTRY AND ARMORED UNIT INTEGRATION TESTING (FOREIGN COMPARISON TEST) SOL N/A DUE 15 May 2003 POC John Lynch @ 407-380-4197 DESC: The Program Manager for Training Systems for the U.S. Marine Corps intends to solicit on an Other Than Full and Open Competition basis pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, for Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Portable (Deployable) Targeting System capable of presenting infantry and armored vehicle targets for integration with selected Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS). The USMC has the requirement for the integration of portable/deployable automated and manually operated track operable infantry and tank targeting system for use existing TESS training devices. This FCT will evaluate these foreign Portable Targeting systems for integration into USMC (TESS) force-on-force training devices in order to obtain enhanced Rifle and Tank Company and Platoon level training. This is a notice of intent and is not considered a Request for Offers. All responses to the request for information are due no later than close of business 15 May 2003.
