Description

CLASSIFICATION CODE 55: Lumber, millwork, plywood and veneer, NAICS: 423990 - Wood Products and the size standard is $5.million, SIC: 2499 - Wood Products, N.E.C., PSC: 5660 - Fencing, Fences, Gates and Components. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-12. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only soliciation; quotes are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is BCQ032015 and is a request for quotation. FAR Clauses 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items, 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, with the following adenda: 52.204-6 Contractor Identification Number-Data Universal Numbering System, (DUNS) Number. FAR Clause 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. Award will be based on price and price only. QUOTE IS DUE BY MAY 22, 2003 BY 11:59PM EST. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. See Note 1. Vendor will deliver at no additional cost to the government the following post to: BLM Wareyard, 5th & Cedar Street, Susanville, CA 96130. Vendor must give two (2) days notice prior to delivery. Posts must be delivered by July 1, 2003. BLM will off load poles at the BLM Wareyard. Pressure Treated Wood Post Specifications: 5" min. dia. top x 7' long. COST PER POLE $__________ TOTAL $___________ SPECIFICATIONS 1. Species and Physical Details: The following species of posts will be acceptable; ponderosa pine, lodgepole pine, fir and tamarack. All post shall be sound. A slight bend in one plane will be acceptable. In case of disputes, a line drawn from the geometric center of the top to the geometric center of the butt shall not fall outside of the body of the posts. Twisted, rotted, or otherwise inferior or unsound posts are not acceptable. 2. Treatment method: Impregnate post with CCA (Type C) conforming to AWPA Standard P5. The preservative shall be applied in a closed cylinder pressure process in accordance with AWPA Standard C5. Retention of CCA salts shall be 0.4 pounds per cubic feet. Full-length pressure treated posts will only be accepted. Vendor must be registered with the "Central Contractor Registration" (CCR), website "http://www.ccr.gov" .
