- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Request for Quotes (RFQ) are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation documents, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. The NAICS is 421450 with business size standard 500 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated.=20 The South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Audie L. Murphy Division, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78229 has a requirement to purchase eight (8) Bedside Lavatory Units, Model BLU-S manufactured by Modular Services Company. The standard unit specification for each unit shall consist of the following: cabinet, countertop, lavatory, toilet and rigid bedpan washer. The cabinet is a free standing 304 stainless steel frame. The exterior is a =BE=94 class core plywood with laminate finish. Interior finishes are laminate and satin finish stainless steel. Cabinet doors have rounded corners and support a 250lb static load. Toilet tissue holder is located inside the cabinet door. Countertop finish is stain resistant plastic laminate with 3=94 backsplash. Lavatory is standard 14 gauge stainless steel with factory installed caulking. The lavatory measurements are 14-1/2=94 x 9-1/2=94 x 5=94 deep and is furnished with a 10=94 gooseneck, deck-mounted hot and cold faucet with 4=94 wristblade handles. The toilet is siphon jet type with an elongated bowl, integral flushing rim, remote-actuated hydraulic flushing system with push button, white seat with self-sustaining hinge, toilet pivots and locks in position when cabinet door is open. The toilet is hands free, foot operated and has a unlocking mechanism returns toilet to it=92s closed position. The toilet and support assembly are constructed of heavy gauge stainless steel and is anchored to floor and will support a 2,500 lb. static load. The minimum for required flushing is 25 PSI in a 1.6 gallon per flush (low flow) toilet and will flush in the open or closed position. Trap has 3-1/2=94 seal that will pass a 2-1/8=94 diameter ball and is fully enclosed. The standard rigid bedpan washer is positioned over center of toilet minimizes splash and over spray. Quotations shall include all warranty information, technical data;etc. Quotations shall be submitted F.O.B. destination. All quotations are to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offer Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with quotation. (A copy of this provision may be requested by facsimile to (210) 617-5255, Attn: TILLMAN HENDERSON).
