- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. *****ATTENTION*****FORMAL COMMUNICATION RELATED TO THIS ACQUISITION SHOULD BE DIRECTED TO MAJ RICHARD DEBANY. The US Army Aviation and Missile Command plans to acquire 50 each Swaging Tool Kits for the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter. This effort will be sole source to Deutsch Metal Components. The Procurement Req uest Order Number (PRON) 2R3BET04AXAX is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) under solicitation number DAAH23-01-R-0560. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01 -13. This acquisition is not a set-aside but sole source to Deautsch Metal Components, a large business. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is: 332212; number of employees is 500. The solicitation consists of the following: CLIN 0001, 50 each, Swaging Took Kits (Kit with size 04 and 06 Swags and Manual Pump), NSN: 5180-01-115-7007, Part Number is DLTFRPSKT3003. Required delivery is 50 each 60 days ARO. Offerors are encouraged to provide earlier delivery at no additional cost to t he Government. Inspection and acceptance is at origin, FOB is destination. Commercial packaging and packing is acceptable. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Su pplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This item is restricted to Deutsch Metal Components, 14800 S. Fugueroa Street, Gardena, CA 90248 (CAGE Code: 14798) because the Government does not have adequate data, lacks rights to data, or both neede d to purchase this part from additional sources. Offerors must meet prequalification requirements in order to be eligible for award. Firms that recognize and can produce the required item described above are encouraged to identify themselves. Firms are enc ouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under SAR information. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the Agency. The mo st recent representative unit price and quantity relative to this acquisition is Contract Number DAAJ09-85-C-A029, award date October 12, 1984, unit price $5,771.00, quantity 14 kits to Deutsch Company Metal Components (Cage Code: 14798). The Government pr ovides this price history without assuming the responsibility for any resulting conclusions or interpretations that may be made. The price history is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as a basis for offer/bid. Any award resulting from this RFQ will be issued on SF Form 1449 and will contain all clauses required by Law, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) as appropriate for the dollar value of the awa rd.
