Description
NA CONTACT Joseph Czerwinski, Electronics Engineer, (732)427-6495. This is a market survey to locate additional sources for repair services for the FBCB2 computer system. The original system integrator is Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, 1800 Glenn Curtiss D rive, Carson CA. 90746-2800. Four system peripheral devices comprise the system and are currently manufacturered by DRS Tactical Systems Inc., 3520 U.S. Hwy 1, Palm Bay, FL. 32905 and Level-3 Communications Corp. Division, Ruggedized Command and Control Solutions RCCS, 10770 Wateridge Circle, San Diego, CA 92121-5701. The contractor's part numbers for the FBCB2 system components to be repaired are as follows. For DRS units; Processor Units, 9800-07060-9000, 9800-07060-9000, 9800-07060-9001, Display Units ; 9800-07090-9000, Keyboard Units; 9800-07010-9000, 9800-07010-9001, Hard Disk Drive Cartridges; 9800-07050-9000, 9800-07880-9000, 9800-09785-9000. For Level-3 Communications units; Processor Units; 59600-2, 59600-3, 59600-4, 59600-5, Display Units; 59800 -2, 59800-3, 59800-4, 59850-2, 59850-3, 59850-4, 59850-5, Keyboard Units; 59760-2, 59760-4, 59760-3, 59760-5, 59760-6, Hard Disk Drive Cartridges; 59745-2, 59745-3. For planning purposes the anticipated commencement of services will be in the first quarter of fiscal year 2004. Required repairs will include all aspects of operational, functional and cosmetic repair/refurbishment of all system components. As part of the repair process, the Army seeks to migrate to improved system performance and technology re freshment, as improvements in technology become available. In addition, a contractor designed Repair Certification program is required as part of a Partnership Plan, which will facilitate depot government repair technicians to become technically skilled an d qualified to repair select LRUs of the FBCB2 system. The government is also seeking a supply of the internal repair parts and components used in the repair process of the FBCB2 system, which will be supplied to the Army depot. Detailed technical data(dra wings and schematics) used for the manufacture or acceptance of these items is not available from the Army. Suppliers/offerors capable of furnishing/repairing these items must so indicate by writing to; Commander CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-C-TC(Czerwinski) , Fort Monmouth, N.J. 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copies of purchase orders, if the supplier was a vendor to the current source or a statement from the current source demonstrating that the supplier can suppl y items that will be physically and functionally interchangeable at the repair part level with the items that the current sources supply for these items. Responses in terms of the repair service must include documentation that demonstrates that the offero r can, in fact provide repair Capability and has the required data, software, equipment and facilities to perform the repair. Offerors may also submit evidence of past performance in supplying or repairing the above equipment or similar equipment. Success ful supplier(s)/repairer(s) may be required to warrant that the items supplied and/or repaired will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
