- NA The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center-Natick (USA RMAC-Natick), in support of the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), has a requirement for Tray Ration Heater Racks for the USMC Tray Ration Heating System. The Marine Corp currently use a Tray Ration Heater for their Heat-On-The-Move requirements. The current heater has a single rack that holds 18 Tray Packs. The new Unitized Rations, which contain Heat and Serve Rations, now contain #10 cans. The Marine Corps require three separate racks that will fit with in the current Tray Ration Heater. A tray Ration Heater rack set will consist of three separate racks for a single Tray Ration Heater, of which two racks will be fabricated to hold Tray Packs (6 Tray Rations per rack), and one single rack to hold five #10 cans. With this configuration of three separate racks the Marine Corp have the capability and the ability to augment their field feeding cycles. Drawings will be available with the solicitation. This requirement is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. The a pplicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 315299, small business size standard is 500 employees. Firms shall not be reimbursed for any costs associated with proposals. The Government intends this procurement to be a commercia l item acquisition utilizing both, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR SUBPART 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Government envisions that a single Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Indefinite Delive ry/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded as a result of the Request for Proposal with one (1) 5-year ordering period. The Government envisions three CLINs: a CLIN for a complete set of racks (to include 2 Heat and Serve Rations, and 1 for th e #10 Cans); a CLIN for only the Heat and Serve Rations rack; and a CLIN for the #10 Cans rack. It is anticipated that the Minimum Guaranteed will be 160 sets (of the complete set of racks), with a Maximum of 2,500 sets (of the complete set of racks). The Government reserves the right to make any changes to this information upon release of the solicitation. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), when released, the solicitation, including all amendments, and applicable documents will only be available in electroni c medium at the US Army RMAC-NCD web page at https://www3.natick.army.mil.
