Description

The Naval Air (NAVAIR) Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Code 2.5.1.3 at Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES for the Air Vehicle Department, AIR 4.3. This is notice that NAVAIR intends to release a Request for Proposals solicitation within 45 days of this synopsis. The NAVAIR Air Vehicle Department requires engineering services to support development of advanced air vehicle technology using system analysis techniques. A draft Statement of Work (SOW) is available upon email request. The applicable SIC Code for this requirement is 8711. The applicable NAICS Code for this requirement is 541330. The estimated total level of effort is approximately 695,958 man-hours for a period of five years. The period of performance consists of one base year plus four option years with performance commencing approximately 20 December 2003. This action is a follow-on to contract N00421-99-D-1433, and the incumbent contractor is Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) 10260 Campus Point Drive, San Diego, CA 92121. It is the Governments intent to award a single Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee (CPFF) contract to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the government, cost and non-cost factors considered.
