- NAICS Code: 334516 The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), requires an Automated Ion Analyzer. This requirement for the National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), Water Supply and Water Resources Division will be utilized to support a research project on nutrients. The system shall be able to analyze both cations and anions by (a) colorimetry and (b) ionchromatography (IC). Capability to analyze by both techniques, simultaneously, is required. The unit shall use the technique called "FIA - Flow Injection Analysis". The equipment shall use EPA mandated analytical procedures. The system shall be field upgradable for up to eight (8) analytical channels. All chemistry manifolds shall use inert PTFE tubing or an equal. The only glass allowed in the chemistry manifold will be the cadmium column tube. This acquisition will contain the EPA Clause 1552.211-79, Compliance with EPA Policies for Information Resources Management which requires contractors to provide compliant Section 508 services and supplies. The Request For Quotation (RFQ) will be issued on a full and open competitive basis. It is anticipated that a RFQ will be issued on or about May 22, 2003. To receive a copy of the RFQ, interested firms must submit a written request via fax or e-mail to the POC. Requests must include a complete mailing address, phone and fax number. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. A firm, fixed price purchase order will be issued to the quoter whose quotation represents the lowest priced technically acceptable quotation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is June 30, 2003.
