- Description
- Solicitation Notice. IRS Computer Room Consolidation, IRS, Andover MA. Project Description: Project is for approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of computer space to be converted to office space. The work includes but is not limited to the following: Remove existing HVAC units from computer room #3 & #7; Build new tape library; Demolish old tape library, existing interior computer room #3 & #7 walls, HVAC system, and remove old computer room electrical distribution system; Convert computer rooms #3, #7, and old tape library into office space. Including modifications to the access flooring, revised sprinkler system, power/communications wiring system for the new government furnished and installed system furniture, energy efficient lighting, updated fire and security alarm and new HVAC systems. Due to space constraints the construction will take place in at least four phases. (This project was originally synopsized and canceled under solicitation number GS-01P-02-BZC-0027. All bidders who submitted bids under the original solicitation need not request documents. Documents will automatically be mailed out to you.) The NAICS code for this project is 236220 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. This solicitation is open to both large and small business under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Test Program. The estimated price range for construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. For reasons of security and before release of information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offers which is posted on the web site. The Notice shall be faxed to the point of contact cited herein, (Twalla Gray at 617-565-5967) . NO TELEPHONIC OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED. After verification of the preceding information, the requester will be designed as an authorized user documents will be released to the requester. Potential offerers must ensure that requests include the address to which the documents are to be sent. Estimated posting date of the IFB is 05/27/2003 and will be opened at least 30 calendar days after issue date. The IFB with contract clauses, provisions and amendments will be issued electronically on the web site (www.eps.gov). The Technical Specifications, (Divisions 1 through 16), and drawings will be mailed on Compact Disk (CD) in PDF format to authorized bidders. It is the bidders responsibility to monitor and download the EPS web site (www.eps.gov) for the release of any documents or amendments that are needed for this procurement.
