- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors, International Broadcasting Bureau (BBG/IBB), Office of Contracts (CON), has a requirement to install and maintain a new, code compliant, hard wired or wireless, "Fire Alarm Panel and Occupancy Notification System" at the U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governor's International Broadcasting Bureau's (BBG/IBB) Radio Transmitting Station site at Dasochori Xanthi, (Kavala) Greece. The Contractor shall be required to: (a) dismantle portions of the existing fire alarm system; (b)install and test the new fire detection and occupant notification system; (c) provide quarterly preventive maintenance services for one year; (d) perform semiannual test and inspection services for one year; (e) provide emergency service; and (f) provide "one-time" training to station personnel. The total estimated construction price range to accomplish the above work is between $250,000 and $500,000. The proposed period of performance of this work requires completion within 120 calendar days from issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. The contractor shall be responsible for visiting the Dasochori, Xanthi, (Kavala) Greece Transmitting Station to verify local conditions. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 15.304 (e), Offerors are hereby notified that the basis for award will include price and evaluation of "other factors" (i.e., past performance, technical approach, and management approach) with these "other factors", when combined, being approximately equal to price. Offeror's technical proposals will be evaluated on the narrative description of their: (a) past performance, (b) technical approach, and (c) management approach. The IBB intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation for this negotiated firm-fixed-price procurement in May 2003, with a proposal response date of 30 days after release. Offerors interested in receiving a copy of the RFP must respond in writing to the Contracting Officer, Mr. Gary Hosford via facsimile at (202) 260-0855, or E-mail at ghosford@IBB.gov, or via letter to the above-listed address not later than 30 calendar days after the publishing date of this FBO Notice. Please reference Solicitation No. BBGCON-3603-S5357 on all correspondence regarding this notice. All written requests for copies of the RFP must include your company name, mailing address, telephone number, and facsimile number. No telephone requests for this RFP will be honored. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the forthcoming solicitation document, and all proposals shall be considered by the Agency. Offerors who have previously submitted written requests for this Solicitation need not respond to this announcement. This FBO notice is not a RFP, IFB, or RFQ.
