Description

If there are technical questions about this solicitation, please contact the Contracting Officer?s Representative, Keith Bond, 530-573-2762. The intent of this solicitation is to improve water quality problems associated with the current trail system in the Meiss Meadows. The contract will include clearing and grubbing, trail reroutes, restoration, decommissioning, stream crossing improvements and construction of stream crossing structures. This proposal does not include any trails located in wilderness area, however, motorized equipment will be limited to motorized wheelbarrows and chainsaws. The resulting contract will be an IDIQ contract for the base period, with an IDIQ Option Year. The government estimate is expected to be between $100,000 and $250,000 per year. There will be no pre-proposal meeting. Interested contractors can view the project area. Meiss Meadows project area spans from Meyers, California to Carson pass in El Dorado and Alpine County. Highway 89 at Luther pass, Highway 88 at Carson pass and South Upper Truckee road in Meyers, CA. provides major access. Minor access may be possible via Forest Service roads. Some remote trails may only be accessed by trails. The solicitation package is expected to be available at this internet site by May 22, 2003. The response date is June 24, 2003 by close of business (4:30 pm).
