Description

THIS REQUIREMENT IS SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS ONLY. The NAICS code is 541990 with a size standard of $6.0. The National Institute of Standards and Technology has a requirement to provide technical assistance to the Materials Performance Group on a part-time basis to perform FEM simulations in three technically demanding areas in the Metallurgy Division which include (1) the program on "Forming of Lightweight Materials for Automotive Applications", (2) an exploratory project on nano-indentation and (3) collaborative work on the structural integrity of submerged ships. A fixed price purchase order is anticipated to be awarded on or about May 27, 2003. The solicitation number NA1341-03-Q-0421, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about May 8, 2003 and will only be available via the internet at the above web site. Potential offorers are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. There is no written solicitation available. Telephone requests will not be honored and no bidders list will be maintained.
