Description
The anticipated solicitation issue date is 30 May 2003. Responses to the solicitation will be due 30 days after the solicitation is issued. Therefore, if the solicitation is issued on 30 May 2003, responses will be due by 30 Jun 2003. The anticipated award date is 31 Jul 2003. The item to be procured is a tailpipe for the KC-135 aircraft. NSN 1560-01-132-6730FL. PN 65-10501-43. The quantity is 28 each. Description: Tailpipe assembly controls exhaust flow to provide engine thrust. 39 IN X 39 IN X 44 IN, made of corrosion resistant steel alloy, round in shape with forward end approximately 6 inches larger in diameter. The proposed delivery schedule is 28 each due on or before 29 Feb 2004. This is a 100% small business set-aside. There will be a limitation on subcontracting. FAR 52.219-14 states that the contract awardee shall perform work for at least 50 percent of the cost of manufacturing the supplies, not including the cost of materials. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Faxed solicitation requests can be submitted to OC-ALC/PKXDA, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3020, FAX Number (405) 739-3656. No telephone requests. Only written, faxed or electronic requests received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. CAUTION: The drawings, which will be furnished under this RFP and any resultant contract, are proprietary to The Boeing Company. Firms interested in proposing on this RFP must have on file a current OC-SAF/66 Rights Guard Certificate, signed by an individual authorized to bind your company, or the bid package will not be furnished. This certificate may be obtained from OC-ALC/PKXDA, Tinker AFB OK 73145-3020. This acquisition involves technology that has a military or space application. Release of the data to a foreign-owned, controlled or influenced company is dependent upon the approval of the Foreign Disclosure Office. Nothing in this notice contradicts other restrictions, identified in the synopsis notice or solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g. if this is a small business set-aside), FOREIGN SOURCES MAY NOT PARTICIPATE AS POTENTIAL PRIME CONTRACTORS, but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors.
