Description
The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - San Diego intends to issue a solicitation to provide depot level technical support for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Systems Support Engineering Division, of the Fleet Engineering Department. It is anticipated that this requirement will be solicited as a Small Business Administration, 8(a) Program competitive procurement. The effort includes maintaining and operating a restoration depot, providing shipboard installations, fabrication, manufacturing, re-manufacturing, restoration, repair, overhaul, calibration involving: electro-mechanical and mechanical units both ground and airborne, assemblies, subassemblies, and test equipment; providing worldwide technical support to government agencies Fleet or Shore Installations. Depot level performance includes, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) verification checkout, testing and repair on shipboard C4ISR equipment and system level training, Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), and Technical Performance Standards (TPS) development and upgrades. The estimated level of effort is approximately 316,850 hours per year. An Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract with a cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) pricing arrangement is anticipated. The Government anticipates a single-award contract pursuant to the criteria in the RFP. The anticipated period of performance will be a five-year base period and up to eight (8) six-month award terms available. The potential total maximum contract period of performance is nine (9) years, and the potential minimum contract period of performance is two (2) years. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. It is currently anticipated that Solicitation N66001-03-R-5034 regarding this requirement will be released on or about June 16, 2003. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central web site at http://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil, under ?Business Opportunities?, ?SSC SAN DIEGO?, "Open Solicitations." The solicitation will only be available electronically at this web site. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. It is the responsibility of interested parties to periodically monitor the SPAWAR E-Commerce page for updates and new listings. A bidders mailing list will not be established.
