Description
DTCG87-03-Q-643127 - Sound Attenuation Retrofit Project at USCG Cutter SEDGE Housing in Homer, Alaska. The work includes furnishing all equipment, material, transportation, labor, and supervision to: demolish the gypsum board ceilings in housing units 4A and 4B; install fiberglass sound batt material in the joist cavities; affix steel resilient channels to the joists; install new 5/8" gypsum wallboard on the ceilings; texture and paint the ceilings to match the surrounding walls; and install new light fixtures. All work in one unit shall be completed before beginning work in the other unit. The Maintenance Officer will notify the contractor at least 2 weeks in advance of the units becoming vacant. The contractor will have three weeks to complete renovations after receiving notification. Maximum effort shall be made to coordinate with the Maintenance Officer in order to minimize impact on occupants moving into the respective unit. Housing unit 4B will likely be vacant part of June and 4A is expected to be vacant part of August. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236118 and the applicable size standard is $28.5 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a bid. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Solicitation documents, may be accessed for download from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website beginning on the date of issue (estimated to be on or about May 23, 2003) at the following site: http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Prospective bidders are responsible for checking the website for amendments up to the date and time of bid opening. The technical data package (specifications and drawings) will only be available through a link in FedBizOpps to the Federal Technical Data Solution (FEDTeDS) website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FEDTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package. Firms not having the capability to download solicitation documents may refer to a list of printers available through the CEU Juneau web site at http://www.uscg.mil/mlcpac/ceujuneau. Printers on this list can download and print drawings and other solicitation documents for a fee. A planholders list will not be available for this project from CEU-Juneau. Vendors are encouraged to register their interest by entering their information in the Interested Vendors List for this solicitation in FedBizOpps.
