NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This requirement is for turning brake drums and relining brake shoes for the RS Maintenance Site, Kansas Army National Guard, Fort Riley, Kansas. Brake drums and shoes will be removed and made ready for contractor pickup by the government. The drums and shoes are being removed from military vehicles Model M813, M872A1, M872A3, M109A3, M35A2, M818, M820A2, M923A2, M925, M927, M927A1, PB M939, M923. This synopsis is prepared IAW FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Propo sals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation DAHA 03 R 5702 is issued as an RFP. This is a solicitation document and incorporates provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13. S ic code is 7539. The contract will be for a period of 1-year, with option to extend the contract by four additional one-year periods. We anticipate awarding a requirements type contract. Brake drums shall be repaired in accordance with Army Technical Manual for the M129A3, M35 Series Cargo and M109 Shop Van; M129A1, M129A1C and M129A2C Semi Trailer Van, M939 Series Truck, M809 Series, M872, M872A1/2/3. A copy of the Technical Manual for brake repair and copy of the anticipated monthly brake requiremen ts may be requested to be sent via fax. The government will remove the drums and shoes from the vehicle and will prepare them for pick-up by the contractor on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays of each week. Drums and shoes picked up on Mondays shall be com pleted returned by Wednesday of the same week, drums and shoes picked up on Wednesdays shall be completed and returned by Friday of the same week, and drums and shoes picked up on Friday shall be completed and delivered on the Mondays for the following wee k. Written proposal shall include a unit price for each truck series i.e. M129A3; M35; M109; M129A1; M939; M809 and M872 series vehicles. Include a statement with your proposal that the work will be accomplished in accordance with the military Technical Manuals and that you can meet the required delivery schedule. Proposal shall also include information to include agency point of contract and telephone numbers concerning your past performance with repairing these types of brake assemblies. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications (Jul 2002) applies to this acquisition. A completed-signed copy of this provision shall be submitted with any proposal. The clause at Far 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions (Feb 2002). Th e clause at FAR 52.212.-5, Contract terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes are Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Jun 1998) applies to this acquisition. Under paragraph b, the following clauses are incorporated: 52.203-6, Restrictions on Sub contractor Sales to the Government, with Alternate I, 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era; 52.222-41, Service Contract Act of 1965, as Amended; 52.222.36; Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities; 252.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans; 52.225-3, Buy American Act-Supplies. The clause 52.232-33, Mandatory Information for Electronic Funds Transfer Payment (May 1999) applies to this solicitation. The clause at DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items , is applicable to this acquisition .
