- Description
- Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, material and equipment to perform all operations necessary in connection with project FBNV 040014 REPAIR TAXIWAY ALPHA FIVE. at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. The project includes approximately 8300 Sq. Yds. of airfield paving. Inexperienced contractors will most likely encounter considerable difficulties meeting the time schedule restrictions while performing the work to the required specifications. Wing flying operations will be at a considerable disadvantage during the construction of the project, thus, construction deadlines must be met. Only highly experienced resourceful contractors which have the necessary background, supervision, and qualified personnel will be able to maintain the strict construction schedule and ensure the quality of the work while performing the many facets of work in this project. All work shall be as specified and shown on drawing FBNV 040014 sheets 1 through 8 dated 15 Feb 2003. In addition this project has been bundled with project FBNV 990030 ?REPAIR TAXIWAY ALPHA CC?. This work involves removing and replacing approximately 17,600 square yards of concrete paving and approximately 8,400 square yards of asphalt paving as well as significant airfield lighting electrical work. All work shall be as specified and shown on drawing FBNV 990030 sheets 1 through 10 dated 17 Apr 2003. The construction performance period is concurrent with ?REPAIR TAXIWAY ALPHA FIVE?. Project is approved by ACC. Water and electricity for the projects will be furnished by the Government. The estimated project magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. This is an unrestricted procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235110 with a small business size standard of $27,500,000. The successful contractor will be selected using Past Performance Trade Off (PPTO) procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Past performance is significantly more important than price. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 6 Jun 02 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. It is anticipated that the following viewers will be needed to view the solicitation: Microsoft Word (.doc), Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf), WinZip (.zip or .exe.), MaxView/SourceView.exe, AutoCAD. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three weeks to process.
