Description
Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate (AFRL/SNKR) solicits research proposals for the Signatures and Modeling for Exploitation, Recognition, and Identification (SAMERI) program. The objective of the program is to achieve advances in multi-sensor based and empirical modeling techniques for ATR and fusion technologies. This effort includes the development of multi-sensor phenomenology modeling techniques, modeling and simulation methods, and signature exploitation technologies for ATR and fusion systems, subsystems and components. A web site has been established to provide information to the initial focus research topics (FRTs) for BAA 03-03-SNK. Each FRT found at the site is an official part of this announcement. They are provided to assist offerors proposal preparation. This site is located at https://readingroom.sameri.vdl.afrl.af.mil/. This information consists of Statement of Objectives (SOOs), funding profiles, evaluation criteria for the initial FRTs for each FRA listed in BAA 03-03-SNK. Additional information, such as activities within the Sensors Directorate that support the research, development, testing, and evaluation of automatic target recognition (ATR) algorithms, sensor fusion (SF) algorithms, are also available at the web site. A Preproposal conference will be held 29 May 2003 starting at 1000 hours, Bldg 620 Auditorium, Area B, Wright-Patterson AFB, OH, to provide additional information for the proposal effort. Any offeror interested in attending the Preproposal Conference please see the BAA 03-03-SNK for more information. Any offeror interested in faining access to the website should contact Ms. Cheutaunia Johnson, (937) 656-7468, cheutaunia.Johnson@wpafb.af.mil. Please be prepared to provide the following: 1. Company POC 2. Mailing Address 3. Telephone Number 4. Fax Number 5. Email Address 6. Copy of the DD2345 Military Critical Data Agreement on file with the Government Interested offerors may view and/or download the BAA solicitation by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOps) homepage at http://www.eps.gov/.
