Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement modifies the initial solicitation previously announced on May 2, 2003, to change from a Small business Set Aside to a Full and Open Competition. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All responses to this solicitation (RFQ) must make reference to solicitation number F0469303T0015. Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) proposes to procure linen service two times per week to the Los Angeles AFB Medical Clinic Facility, Bldg 200, El Segundo, CA 90245. The contractor will pick up all soiled linen and deliver the following clean items in the sizes and quantities indicated on Monday, and Wednesday of each week for 52 weeks. Each delivery will consist of: SCRUB TOPS: 30 Small, 25 Medium, 30 Large, 11 Extra Large for a total of 192 weekly; SCRUB PANTS: 12 Extra Small, 17 Small, 43 Medium, 43 Large for a total of 230 weekly; SMOCKS (hip length): 1 Small, 4 Medium, 5 Large, 1 Extra Large for a total of 22 weekly; JACKETS: 11 Small, 25 Medium, 25 Large, 11 Extra Large for a total of 144 weekly; LAB COATS: 5 Medium, 10 Large, 5 Extra Large for a total of 40 weekly; THERMAL BLANKET: 2 per week; STORAGE CABINET ? 1 will be provided to collect soiled linen. Proposed contract is for a basic year and two option years. Quote submitted should include price for the basic year and each of two option years. Option years will be awarded based on availability of funds. This solicitation is open to Large Business and Small Business. North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) is 812331. Interested vendors have ten (10) days from publication of this Synopsis/RFQ to submit their quote. Anticipated award date is contemplated as 27 May 03. The quotation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-13. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this quotation the contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. In order to register, apply through the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. A DUNS (Dun and Bradstreet) number is required in order to register. Verification of CCR registration and Tax ID number must accompany your quote. The provisions at FAR 52.212-1, ?Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items? and FAR Clause 52.212-2, ?Evaluation-Commercial Items?, applies to this acquisition and addenda are not attached; FAR 52.212-3, ?Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items? applies to this acquisition and a completed copy of the provision should be provided with the offer. The aforementioned addenda are not attached. The evaluation criteria for this solicitation will consist of the ability of the Offeror to meet the agency delivery requirements, and price and best value to the Government.
