- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-03-Q-4059. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 334515; size standard is 500 employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: 1) 6 ea. P/N 40.160.001, Power Relay Card, 10X SPST; 2) 3 ea. P/N 40.160.002, Power Relay Card, 10X DPST; 3) 3 ea. P/N 40.310.101, High Voltage Reed Relays, 16X PDT; 4) 6 ea. P.N 40.513.022, Single 24 x 4 Matrix, 2 Pole; 5) 3 ea. 40.655.002, 7 Banks 4 Channel Multiplexer, 2 Pole; 6) 9 ea. P/N 40.725.511, 8 x 9 RF Coaxial Matrix, 50 ohm SMB. Required delivery is 42 days after award, F.O.B. Destination at MAR, Inc., 1181 Rogers Circle, Boca Raton, FL 33487. It is expected to place a purchase order with Pickering Switch, Grants Pass, OR. These components are part of a system used to conduct acoustic signal processing for a towed array sonar system. This procurement is being procured sole source because the signal processor is currently configured to utilize these components to conduct the acoustic measurements and interpretation of the results. Any substitution in equipment would require restructuring the entire hardware and software development program.. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All other timely offers will be considered. Offers for other products must contain complete product information and prices. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items applies. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Each is equally important. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items must be submitted with quote. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items, and DFARS 52.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items apply.
