Description

Work shall consist of improving 3.54 miles of the Chattooga Trail. The work shall include installing grade dips and water bars, construction of log retainers, removal and disposal of existing designated trail bridges and construction of new trail bridges, installing check dams, placing stepping stones and replacing and adding steps where needed. The bridges will consist of 122 linear feet of Type 1 24 inch and 83 linear feet of Type 2 42 inch. This will be broken down into several bridges of each type. There will a pre-bid showing on May 20, 2003 at 9:30am. If interested in providing a quote for this project you are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to attend this showing. The period of performance for this project is 90 calendar days and the expected start date will be on or about June 10, 2003. A payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value is required for this project. This project is also being advertised under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program which allows for quotes to be considered from any responsible source.
