Description
The Federal Occupational Health Services (FOHS), through the Division of Acquisition Management, Program Support Center (PSC) intends to award a six (6) month simplified acquisition with one (1) 12 month option period. The purpose of this acquisition is to obtain wellness/fitness associate?s on a part-time basis for the FOH fitness center located at Oniel Federal Building, 10 Causeway Street, Room 117, Boston, MA 02222. The wellness/fitness associate must have met the minimum requirements as follows: 1) Current W/F Certification through a nationally recognized organization (ie. American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), Aerobic and fitness Association of America (AFAA), or equivalent 2) current CPR certification and AED training and 3) ability to teach a variety of group exercise classes at a variety of intensities. The wellness/fitness associate shall under the direction of the W/F Coordinator 1) Implement fitness programs - these programs will include components such as fitness assessments, exercise plans, equipment and exercise orientations, regularly scheduled exercise classes (e.g., low and high impact aerobics, step aerobics, toning and stretching) at various intensity levels (low to high), muscular/strength training, and cardiovascular training. and 2) Implement wellness activities ? including, but not limited to, wellness seminars, wellness classes, incentive programs and contests. All programs will be provided in accordance with FOH Wellness/Fitness Guidelines and Administrative Policies and with the FOH customer agency requirements. Only electronic copies of the RFQ will be made available. Proposals will be due approximately 15 days after issuance of the RFQ.
